This Ichthus Olive wood keychain with silver metal chain is hand-made in Nazareth with the purpose of serving as a reminder of how Christians used to identify themselves to each other in secret because they did not want to be overheard by their persecutors when they were worshiping Christ. The legend has it that when an early Christian met a stranger, he or she could draw half of the fish on the ground. If the stranger completed the sketch, they would both know they were Christians. Today we create this piece as a marker that we are free to follow Jesus Christ.
